This mix contains invasive species in my region

I bought this packet for a wetland restoration in New York, after casting I see that it contains cup plant, which is a prohibited invasive plant in my state - https://www.lhprism.org/species/silphium-perfoliatum . Although it is native to North America, it is invasive in some regions.

It is illegal to sell or knowingly plant this seed. I now have to invest multiple years in monitoring the area to ensure it does not spread.

I was already operating on a tight budget for this restoration effort, and this mix I bought from seed savers will prohibit me from doing other restoration efforts now as I'll be needing to conduct mitigation instead.

This was a site I selected to remove invasive and plant back natives, so it's extremely disappointing.

I recommend buying individual seeds or mixes from other companies until seed savers either specifies what seeds are invasive in various regions, or does not include them in mixes.

Seed Savers Response: Thanks to your feedback we have updated the components for the prairie mixtures as well as the flower mixtures with new directives and links to the invasive species lists at the USDA to assist in the prevention of accidental planting of invasive species.
