Heavy producer with a mild flavor
by Roger
Highly productive with a mild taste. Holds up well during cooking. I've baked, fried, and grilled these with no problems. It does take up a good amount of space in the garden like most summer squash.
Seeds don't germinate
by NG Ellis
Only one seed germinated from a packet.
Good producer
by Mary
I am on my third year with this zucchini. It produces great-tasting squash. It keeps producing for a long time, too. The trick is to keep on top of harvesting or you will end up with giants in your garden!
Great seed.

I'm in zone 7b/8a. If you plant them correctly you will see the results you want. I planted in late April and with regular watering and fertilizing I started picking June 10th and will be covered up in excess within a few days.
Good starting out
by Jason (North Florida)
Near 100% germination with wet paper towel in a plastic bag. Fast growing. Very hardy in direct 90+ degree Florida sun. Plants grew large and quickly. Only a few Zucchini produced before 2 weeks of excessive rain caused the plants to fall over due to their size. With space at a premium (raised beds) didn't work out for me. At least in my neck of the woods they attracted a lot of gnats.
Huge Tasty Zucchini
by BEN
We grew many zucchini this year, and grew one three foot zucchini. This did very well in our New England garden, and they tasted great grilled and as zoodles!
Prolific
by Jim
I planted the whole pack, and the germination rate was great. I ended up giving many starters away, but the ones that I did plant produced over 100 zucchini. I was swimming in them, but that's what they do!
Ridiculously prolific producer
by Anthony
Grew this as a companion in between hills of corn and pole beans here in central Massachusetts. What a producer ! We had a hurricane and severe wind damage in August but these babies came right back in a week or so and kept going until late September. Great flavor , we ate them raw , froze, baked with , and made relish. Everything was wonderful. Ridiculously prolific producer.

Couldn’t get germination
by Jamey
Unfortunately I got a bad batch. Started them indoors in trays, then tried the old wet paper towel in plastic bag trick, and finally direct sowed a few out in the garden. Couldn’t get any to germinate except one direct sow. It’s small but doing ok. All of my other Seedsaver seeds did great!

The Road to Zucchini Is Paved With Complications
by ARI
100% germination and easy to grow the plants themselves. Due to only having ONE BEE floating around, I had to self-pollinate the flowers with a paint brush, but I was so freaking excited as a new gardener to see flowers galore. And when the little zucchinis began to grow, I was over the moon. I was able to yield 3-4 zucchini at one point!
But then the problems started.
Scorched by the sun. Drowned by the rain. Mold and mildew. Ants. Wet Rot. Plant falling over/breaking despite supports. Bleached leaves. Every issue that could befall these poor things, it happened. I did my best to follow recs from fellow gardeners, but the issues continued to worsen. At some point, I had all male flowers and just as they were near death, a lone female would emerge. Or all the pollen dried up. Some of these issues were due to me not knowing what I was doing.
But I think it's also worth noting that this Zucchini is very susceptible to pretty much every disease and problem a squash can have.
Easy win for beginner gardeners
by Samantha
direct sown with great germination. Heavy producer, and the veggies kept well for a long time on the counter as we ate through them.
Last year was my first attempt at gardening and these were good for my ego. Pick early and often, unless you want to end up with fruit the size of your forearm.
