Ive been looking for a tool like this at the right price point for years. I work in mulched perenial beds, and have been using it for about four months. Its the only hand digging tool I want to use any more. It does such a good job of getting down to the weed roots. I absolutely love it. Have been recommending it to all my gardening friends. Good tools are best investments!
My new favorite hand tool

This is my favorite hand tool. It slides right under the soil and slices roots for easy weed removal. You can also use the tip for tracing roots and separating weeds from desired plants even when they are growing right next to each other. It quickly replaced my Korean hand plow and my dual head hand hoe/tiller. A note of warning, working fast and hitting rocks will dull it. It sharpens easily, though. A second warning: it is sharp!

I bought my Nejiri Game Hoe from the SSE gift shop when I visited a couple years ago. I use it daily throughout the summer. Best tool I have! I was just recommending to someone and stopped by to leave the review.
