Fizzy White Cosmos Flower
The gorgeous, prolific flowers of this variety stand out in any flower bed, container, or bouquet. Large 2½ -4" pure-white blooms have tufted centers and overlapping petals with fine pleats and zigzag edges. These graceful flowers are easy to grow and have an almost hypnotic effect when they sway in the breeze.
Instructions - Sow seeds outdoors after the last frost. Cosmos prefer poor soil. They will thrive with very little attention and do not need a lot of water. Excellent cut flower. Remove spent blossoms regularly to prolong blooming. May require staking.
- Direct Seed: 1/2" Deep
- Germination: 3-10 Days
- Thin: 18-36" Apart
- Light: Sun/Partial Shade

My sister, who is a florist, was very envious of our cosmos. They grow in big bunches and the weight will possibly need staking. We grew ours along a fence and they needed to be tied to the wire or tended to lean or fall over once full size. We also planted them in large beds where they seemed to grow in stronger bunches and stood up well on their own with no need for staking, but eventually get quite large, much bigger than anticipated. We didn't mind, they are very pretty. Great for filling in areas where you aren't sure what to plant. They tolerated a very hot summer with no rain in various soil types. We didn't pick or cut them consistently and they produced flowers constantly. Highly recommend.

Very happy with these. I planted them between a railing and a retaining wall, where the soil probably wasn't the best, so they were stressed and didn't stand upright. However, I tied them to the railing when they got tall enough, and the flowers are so pretty.
