Di Sicilia Violetto Cauliflower
Delicious fresh or cooked, this Silician cauliflower grows deep purple in the garden but turns green when cooked. The voluminous variety will form side shoots after the main head is cut so be sure to space plants at least 20" apart as it will get quite large throughout the course of the growing season. A stunning addition to vegetable trays, this cauliflower retains its excellent flavor when cooked.

Instructions - Sow seeds indoors ¼" deep. Plant out just before the last frost. This brassica prefers cool temperatures and a regular supply of water. In many regions it can be grown as both a spring and fall crop.

I planted before first frost in zone 8b for first time and it is a beautiful plant, huge giant heads deep purple top. Had it roasted in oven for dinner tonight! Amazing flavor and color. Every broccoli love should try it !!!
Popped in a Week!
Seedlings started popping less then a week after being planted in Jiffy Soil Grow Pods. I planted way too many then what we have room for or can eat when mature so my seedlings will be donated to a local community garden from my area. Growing up I always had to help in the garden but I am now in my 40's and this will be my very first vegetable garden as an adult. So I do consider myself a beginner. These seeds were purchased at a great price, shipped quickly, and were easy to plant. Because I did overplant and our garden outside is not completely ready for planting yet, I did have to thin the seedlings and repot. However, I only lost a couple seedlings during the transplant so I feel this is also a forgiving vegetable seed and great for beginners.
