New Favorite Bibb Lettuce
by Christine
I knew as soon as I saw the starts that I was going to love this lettuce.
Nice medium to dark green coloring. Excellent formation of lettuce that is buttery and just a little sweet. Grows quickly from seed and transplants well. Definitely a permanent addition to our garden.
Lettuce for the Sonoran Desert

Aunt Mae's Bibb grows great from September to December in my garden in Mesa, Arizona. It's sweet and delicious with a perfect texture. And it's a beautiful rich green. It's my new favorite lettuce. We'll see how it does in the winter and spring here.
Seriously the best!

This is the best lettuce I've ever grown. I'll never grow anything else.
Buttery smooth & sweet!

Grew this in zone 7, Piedmont area NC. Started in late March in a pot on my front porch. Took a little bit to sprout and take off, but once it did it flourished! The leaves get pretty big...the outer leaves got to about 10”. As a seedling I’d move it in and out of the sun so it didn’t cook, but now that it’s established and mature, I simply leave it in an area that gets a few hours of sun a day. I love the way this lettuce looks in a pot! It’s a brilliant green and stands up wonderfully. The taste is freaking awesome! It’s buttery smooth yet sweet at the same time. The appearance and texture reminds me a bit of romaine lettuce. I’m hugely thrilled with this variety and will definitely purchase again!
Delicious and germinates quickly.

Grew last year and loved it. Just seeded more on 1/3 and germinated by 1/7. Moved to grow lights and then going into the garden. Texas Gulf Coast zone 9b.

I've bought this lettuce seed for approximately 3 years now. It is simply the best! It produces robust, hearty, flavorful heads. I highly recommend it.
