Delicious taste, intoxicating smell, easy to grow.
by Kimberly Swanson
These melons were absolutely delicious! I had never grown melons like this before. I started seeds in mid March here in north eastern Iowa. Grew these on an arched cattle panel in a raised bed with great results. They need a great deal of water so be sure to mulch. I covered the soil and mulch with black landscape fabric to keep the soil extra warm. The vines grew up both sides of the cattle panel and supported fruit perfectly- although I occasionally had to give the vines to helping hand wrapping around the Cattle panel as it got to the arch. I never had a melon fall from the vine. I did support two of the melons with a section of pantyhose that I tied to the cattle panel like a sling. The fruits were about 8 to 9 inches in diameter, the smell was absolutely intoxicating, and my family said this was hands down, the best melon they have ever eaten! I will definitely be growing these again this year.

Gopher Approved!
by John in Kentuckiana
I planted my 2020 seeds last year (2022) and these guys were prolific. Though it produced lots of good looking melons, I couldn't beat the gopher to them. We only ate a few and they were delicous. The gopher ate about 15. I will say that you could plant this for the aromatic qualities. Smells heavenly when you're in the melon patch.
Fun first time melon
by JEREMY
This was our first time growing melons. We planted several types and varieties. These were ready first, were quite large, and turned orange. Quite fragrant, it was easy to tell when critters beat us to one, because you could smell the damaged ones from 20 feet. Would grow again.
