Store your tomatoes at room temperature. The flavor and texture of tomatoes suffer when the fruit is chilled.
Heirloom tomatoes are bred for their flavor and simple preparation best allows that intense flavor to shine through. Tomatoes can be sliced and drizzled with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt and pepper or layer slices with basil and mozzarella for a Caprese salad.
Roasted tomatoes have a richer, concentrated flavor.
There are hundreds of salsa recipes to try and most are dramatically improved with the use of heirloom tomatoes. Tomatoes are also the main ingredient in Gazpacho, a cold soup that is perfect for summer.

Delicious and Better than Lowes Variety
by Erika
I had bought these to try out a new variety. The previous year (2018), I had purchased some Roma tomatoes from Lowes. The following year (2019), I grew Martino's Roma tomatoes, and the lowes pack together. These tasted a lot better and made for some fantastic tomato soup/sauce. They had a lot of fruit, and sometimes it was hard to keep up - a good problem to have. They were easy to care for, and I didn't run into any issues/diseases/etc. growing them.

Wonderful for freezing as a sauce or chopped
by Vanessa
This is a very hardy plant! It grows so many I have a hard time keeping up! I've also saved seeds and used those the following year if time allowed. I really enjoy these for chopping and freezing and for cooking into a simple marinara sauce for fresh eating or freezing. This is a really nice & dependable tomato. Reminder - they all come in pretty much at the same time so you better be ready to process them! It is totally worth it.

Great taste and heavy producer. Smaller fruit.
Avoid- prone to blossom end rot
by Rachel Goldstein
Blossom end rot galore. Small fruit. A total loss.

Easy to care for and large harvests
by Brittany
2022 was the first year I grew this variety and I was not prepared for the amount of tomatoes that 8 plants would produce, even in drought conditions. They all continued to produce through light frosts in Nebraska.
