Lovage Herb
Item Details
This leafy perennial herb may well be what’s missing in your cooking! Young leaves taste like celery with a hint of anise, making them a perfect addition to spring tonic salads as well as potato salad, rice, soups, and many poultry dishes. Smooth, hollow, thick stems are also edible and, when young, can be cut, peeled, and used in salads. Originating in Southern Europe, plants can grow up to 7' tall and bear shiny green leaves similar to celery. If allowed to flower, lovage provides pollen and nectar for bees and other beneficial insects. Perennial. 90 days. + 11,600 seeds per ounce
