Kiss Me Over The Garden Gate Flower
This hard-to-find annual self-sows and produces eye-catching plants heavily laden with pendulous dark-pink catkins. Its flowers make handsome dried bouquets, but are also stunning cut fresh. Beautiful when its 6-9' tall plants are swaying in the summer breeze, this variety is a signature plant in the garden of Seed Savers Exchange co-founder Diane Ott Whealy at Heritage Farm.
- Self-seeding annual
- Plants grow to 6-9 feet tall
- Good for borders, cut flowers, and dried bouquets
Instructions - Sow seeds outdoors in the spring in a sunny, moist, well-drained area. Seeds are very hard and may take weeks to germinate, so keep moist. Planting seeds in the fall can also work well. If transplanting volunteers, be careful not to disturb roots. May require staking.
